The Following is an agreement to the financial and operational policies of Taxi Mom. Policies are subject to change at management’s discretion upon written notice.
Taxi Mom® Parent or Legal Guardian Agreement
This is an agreement between Taxi Mom®, LLC and franchisees doing business as (“Taxi Mom®”) and the parent(s) or legal guardian who have signed below. Under this agreement, you agree to pay Taxi Mom to transport your student to and from school, camps, daycares, or recreational facilities in accordance with the terms provided in this agreement.
Fees
Weekly and bi-weekly fees are due and payable at the beginning of each school week (Monday). Parents have the option to choose non-recurring payments by logging into the portal or mobile app each week to submit tuition manually. If you prefer recurring billing, you may opt in for auto-draft through your account.
Alternate payment methods such as cash, check, or money order must be pre-approved by your local office. All invoices and auto-draft transactions are processed on Mondays.
Commitment Pricing
Commitment Pricing ensures stability and predictability for the next 5 or 10 months. Payments are due every 4 weeks on Mondays, allowing for convenient planning and budgeting.
Late Fees
Whether your account is weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, payments must be received by 11:59 pm CST on Mondays to avoid a $75 late fee, which is applied on Tuesday. If payment is not received within 2 days, your account will be blocked, and your student will not be on the pickup schedule. This constitutes a default and entitles Taxi Mom to all remedies allowed by law, including reasonable attorney’s fees.
Please contact your local office immediately if you experience any issues with your payment.
Termination of Services
You may terminate this agreement at any time with a 30-day written notice. Without such notice, a $75 termination fee (in addition to your regular fees) will be assessed. For commitment service accounts, a $250 termination fee will apply without written notice.
Refunds and Cancellations
No portion of your weekly payment or outstanding fees will be refunded or canceled in the event of absence, sickness, holidays, school closings, or cancellation of the agreement.
Inclement Weather and Safety
Taxi Mom® does not operate when schools are closed due to inclement weather. We prioritize safety and reserve the right to suspend services in unsafe conditions.
Charges for Partial Weeks
Each location has the discretion to charge either the full week or 50% of the weekly tuition, depending on specific circumstances.
Temporary Riders & Summer Service Policy
Taxi Mom® understands that families may have temporary or seasonal transportation needs. To accommodate this, we offer flexible options:
Temporary Riders: Must register online in advance and indicate dates of service. Subject to seat availability and payment in advance.
Summer Transportation: Operates on a flexible schedule. No long-term commitment required, but for consecutive-week bookings, if a week is skipped, a 50% holding fee will apply.
Example: Booking 5 weeks and skipping Week 3 results in a 50% charge for Week 3.
Important Notices
Weekly Riders: Must pay the full weekly rate whether your student rides 0 or 5 days.
Daily Riders: Must pay the daily rate for each scheduled day, regardless of attendance. This includes breaks and holidays.
Schedule Change / Additional Payments
For extracurriculars or other special accommodations, additional fees may apply on top of weekly tuition. All schedule changes must be made in the portal or app before 2pm for PM routes and 6am for AM routes. Late requests may not be accommodated.
Break Discounts
Winter Break, Fall Break, Virtual Days: 50% of the weekly rate is due.
Spring Break & Thanksgiving Break: Full weekly rate is due. No exceptions.
Break discounts apply only to weekly and bi-weekly riders. Monthly commitment riders already receive a greater discount and are not eligible.
Unforeseen Events
In case of events such as a government-mandated shutdown (e.g., COVID-19), a temporary rate of 50% of the weekly fee will apply for up to 4 weeks to sustain operations.
Risk Acknowledgement and Legal Agreement
By signing this Agreement, you acknowledge that student transportation carries inherent risk. Taxi Mom® will use its best efforts to transport your student safely and reliably. You agree to release Taxi Mom® from all claims, liabilities, costs, damages, and legal actions of any kind—whether known or unknown—except in the case of gross negligence by Taxi Mom®. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be resolved in the appropriate court located in Collin County, Texas.
Reservation Fee
To hold your child’s seat for the new school year, each location may offer a non-refundable early bird reservation fee. Available through mid-May unless otherwise arranged with the territory owner. The fee increases after the deadline.
